What I'm loving

I bought this bag in Chinatown not realizing it has been big with the celebs lately. The Sienna bag retails at about $62 and up. My designer inspired bag was about $20.
I love, love, love wellies. Hunter boots are comfortable, easy and versatile. You can wear them summer or winter. Who doesn't love a great pair of rain boots.
                                                                   Jimmy Choo Wellies
I bought some H&M leggings with leather knees a few weeks ago. They remind me of riding pants and are very comfy, but still an update from your average leggings.
Mary Janes will be in this season and I think they are so cute. The Vogue trend report calls for a year of Nostalgic fashion and 60s and 40s inspired elegance.

Projects

This brooch came off of a suit.
This was an old choker I had. I cut it up and added a pearl.
Wow my hair is wild in this one lol This is some things I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
This is an old brooch that I attached to a hair clip.
                                                                          Feathers!
This is a headband I made to fit in with the zipper craze lol
I found the stuff for this one at Hobby Lobby.
This is one of my favorite old brooches.

This is what I do on my days off. I had all of these old brooches that belonged to my grandmother and I always thought they were so pretty, but never had anything to wear them with so.... I made headbands : )

March

March has been great so far. Trey came to visit last week and we had a blast. Last night I went with Aimee and Sara  to Black Tie, The Luxury Marketing Council and Thomas & Ingram Real Estates Saint Patrick's Day Party. This event was a great experience and great for networking, not to mention the small fashion show.I have been running around taking pictures of all the major store windows in order to get an idea of what the seasons top colors will be. Today I went to the NYC Saint Patricks Day Parade and saw the mayor. The crowd was insane. If your reading my blog please become a follower so I can get an idea of who is reading. If you want me to write about anything in-particular ( shopping, fashion, stuff to do) leave me a comment. I'm hoping to make a trip home in April.

Fashion Week

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I am unfortunately sick right now, but I will take a minute to catch you up on whats been going on. I went to Mercedes Benz fashion week two weeks ago. It was AMAZING! I got to see Odd Molly, Christian Cota and Allegri.  I also got to see Robert Verdi and Nina Garcia amongst the crowd. Lately I've just been doing a lot of running around. I've been going to Mood at least two or three times a week. We are getting stuff together for some upcoming weddings. Aimee has now quit her job so I get to work with her everyday. Aimee and Sara will begin designing the new line in April. I am so ready to get this ball rolling! This weekend is St. Patty's Day. I here it gets a little crazy in Hoboken, hope I don't pull my hair out.

February 7

So today was a pretty easy day. The subway went smoothly for once. I might actually be getting the hang of it. I had a lot to get done today though. First I had to make some calls and then I finished the project for designing our office and sent it in. I did some research on belt manufacturers for the line. Today was one of those plant your face in the computer days. I had to leave early today to go to Barnes and Noble, the 3 stories high Barnes and Noble, and make sure Sara's contact list for all the magazines and need to know people was updated. I had a huge Cal zone for supper, Yum!

Catching Up

Day 2: So, its been a few days. Wednesday I woke up to the sidewalks covered in a layer of ice so I didn't even try to go to work for fear of slipping. Yesterday I had to go to Sara's office to drop something off and then to Aimee's to pick something up. I went to the office and began working more on the press release for the lines relaunch and work some more on the designs for the office. After work I went to the garment district ( pictured above ) to pick up some swatches and a dress.

Day 3: Today I came in and had to stop by Sara's office before going to work. Aimee was there today. It was nice to have some guidance. We went to Starbucks to sit down and discuss what all is going on and what needs to be done.  I got what I could of the press release done and also finished the final details of what we needed for the office.

Interesting fact: Saturday night I went to the city and talked to Buddy Valastro's (The Cake Boss) wife and sister on the subway.
